Job summary
Novant Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and respond to emergencies in a busy obstetric unit.
You will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team, document care using SBARQ, and contribute to professional practice through ongoing learning and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- ENPC, TNCC or CEN; preferred.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire, required.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients: conduct comprehensive assessments, analyze data, identify care needs.
- Develop care plans: collaborate with patients, families, and team to create and adjust plans.
- Provide nursing care: administer medications, perform procedures, educate patients and families.
- Evaluate outcomes: monitor progress and modify plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively: use SBARQ for safe handoffs and documentation.
- Delegate responsibly: assign tasks with accountability for safety.
- Promote professional practice: adhere to standards and pursue ongoing development.
- Support team success: mentor colleagues and foster teamwork.
