Qualifications

• Registered Nurses are responsible for providing nursing care to patients in collaboration with families in accordance with the American Nurse's Association Standards of professional Nursing Practice.
• Maintains CPR and any other credentialing or certification necessary to be competent as a Registered Nurse in an area of specialty.
• Must be proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients to whom they are assigned.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures.
• Functions well in emergency procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Facilitates a team approach to the patient plan of care incorporating all disciplines involved.
• Incorporates standards of care into nursing practices.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances necessary skills to work with all patients to whom they may be assigned.
• Serves as a clinical resource to enhance the development of other nursing staff members.
• Exhibits professional interpersonal skills in all situations. Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
