Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is seeking a registered nurse for Labor & Delivery at the Baby-Friendly full-service birthing center. The RN will cover antepartum, labor, delivery, circulating, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care, with orientation of new staff and precepting students. 0.9 FTE, 12-hour night shifts.

Required: CA RN license, NRP, AHA BLS, ACLS prior to orientation completion, C-EFM or equivalent certification within one year. Baby-Friendly designation noted.

Formación

• Labor & Delivery trained with 2 years post-training experience.
• 5+ years L&D experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hemodynamics and fetal monitoring required.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Scrub skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct and provide RN care per hospital policies.
• Orient new staff and precept students; relieve charge nurse as assigned.
• Care for antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, and newborns.
• Monitor patient condition and notify physicians as needed.
