Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a registered nurse specialized in Labor & Delivery in Monterey, CA. The position supports antepartum through newborn care, with orientation duties for new staff and student precepting. Requires California RN license, NRP, BLS, ACLS, and C-EFM or equivalent fetal monitoring certification.

The role is 0.9 FTE on a 12-hour night shift, with shift differentials. Bachelor’s in nursing preferred; 2 years post-L&D training, 5+ years preferred experience.

Qualifications

• Labor & Delivery training completed with 2 years post-training experience; prefer 5 years total.
• State of California RN license required; NRP, BLS, ACLS required.
• EFM certifications: C-EFM or equivalent; AWHONN certifications within 1 year of hire preferred; STABLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, assess and provide nursing care per hospital policies and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor patient condition and notify physicians as needed.
• Orient new staff and precept students; assume relief charge nurse duties as assigned.
• Provide care across antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery and newborn/couplet care.
