Job summary

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with CA license and current RN certification.
Minimum >1 year experience in Labor and Delivery.
BLS/ACLS certifications with required timelines.
NCC or AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required or obtained within stated period.
Must meet facility cross-training/certification timelines.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate assessments and develop care plans with the team.
Carry out OB nursing interventions, hourly rounds, and monitoring protocols.
Document care across admission, flow sheets, and discharge with accuracy.
Educate patients and families; coordinate handoffs and referrals to services.
Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and outcomes.
Maintain proficiency with OB equipment and emergency response procedures.
