Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an RN for the Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Post-Partum (LDRP) Habersham unit. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with the interprofessional team, and participate in discharge planning and safety initiatives.

The role emphasizes development of clinical skills, mentoring, and contributing to quality indicators while delivering compassionate care to mothers and infants.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associates Degree.
• One year of experience as a professional RN; new graduates referred to RN Residency Program.
• Preferred: National certification in clinical specialty.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing Degree.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic assessment skills and administers the 5 rights of medication administration.
• Manages care for basic patient assignment and progresses to more complex patients.
• Accurately documents all aspects of the nursing process in the electronic medical record and complies with DNV standards.
• Coordinates discharge planning and actively contributes to a culture of safety and patient experience initiatives.
• Participates in leadership activities, mentorship, and shared governance within the unit.
