Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. The role includes supervising ancillary staff and coordinating care for emergencies such as C-sections, while ensuring culturally appropriate patient education and support.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments, managing perinatal emergencies, monitoring fetal/metal well-being, and supporting pain

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (AS) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Two years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Current RN license in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical and psychosocial assessment of patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment in managing perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery).
• Assesses fetal and maternal well-being during L&D; monitors amniotic fluid status and vaginal bleeding.
• Manages pain control in labor and assists with epidural catheter placement.
• Educates patients and families across perinatal and postpartum periods with culturally appropriate materials.
