Job summary

Nursefinders Staffing Division seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for per diem shifts in Washington. You will provide compassionate obstetric care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery, collaborating with obstetricians, midwives, and anesthesia teams.

This role offers flexible per diem scheduling with 12-hour day or night shifts, and opportunities to make a meaningful impact on patient experiences during one of life's pivotal moments.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP and ACLS preferred.
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal assessment skills.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-acuity situations.
• Compassionate, patient-advocate approach to care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous fetal monitoring and clinical assessment.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including emergency situations.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and labor-related treatments per provider orders.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Identify and respond rapidly to maternal or fetal complications.
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum expectations.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and unit protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

  • 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days)
  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights)

What You'll Do
