Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Contract Assignment

Location: Torrance, CAPay: $2,400 per weekContract Length: 8-13 weeks with potential extension

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support our partner facility in Torrance, California. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in high-acuity environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond to changes promptly
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and support physicians during cesarean sections
• Administer medications and manage epidural procedures per protocol
• Educate patients and families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn health
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
• Uphold all safety, regulatory, and infection-control standards

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS and ACLS (NRP and AWHONN preferred)
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and patient-support skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts consistently throughout the contract
