Requirements

• Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications and completion of basic and/or intermediate electronic fetal monitoring courses.
• Must have a minimum 1 year full-time experience with Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (all specialty areas) nursing within the last year.
• Strong ability to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate the delivery of skilled patient care, as well as demonstrate critical thinking, and consistency in following established processes.
• Strong assessment skills surrounding pregnancy and labor including high risk cases. Must be able to identify alterations in the normal labor process and intervene when necessary.
• Experience circulating c-sections and providing post-anesthesia care following a c-section or vaginal delivery.
• Must show competency with infant assessment, stabilization, and electronic fetal heart monitoring and interpretation.
