Job summary

Capital Health in Hopewell, Virginia, is seeking a part-time night-shift registered nurse to join our dedicated team. Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree or diploma in nursing and RN licensure; various certifications (BLS, TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale) may be required or encouraged based on

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.
• TNCC (or obtain within 1 year of hire) and 8 hours of Trauma CNE if assigned to ICU/CCU, Surgical Trauma Unit, PACU or ED.
• ACLS (or obtain within 6 months of hire) if assigned to Critical Care/Telemetry, ER, Labor & Delivery, Surgical Services.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care to patients through a team effort in the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Assists patient/family in identifying individualized comfort measures and discharge planning.
• Plans and provides unique comfort measures and ensures effective handoffs and communications.
• Participates in Joint Commission readiness and unit/hospital performance improvement activities.
