Job summary

The Birth Place at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center is a high-volume Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit providing family-centered care for over 1,000 births annually.

We are a Magnet-designated facility with 24/7 obstetric care, offering ongoing education and certification in fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency management to ensure safe, personalized care for every family.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during ante-, intra-, and post-partum periods.
• Perform in-unit Cesarean and other gynecologic procedures as needed.
• Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establish patient care goals.
• Integrate evidence-based practice into patient care and engage families in care delivery.
• Communicate effectively within the care team.
