Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking an experienced RN for per diem/casual shifts in a high-acuity setting. The role focuses on assessing and delivering holistic nursing care, educating patients and families, and ensuring smooth transitions of care within a collaborative team.

The position requires an associate degree in nursing, RN licensure in the state, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of recent L&D or mom/baby experience. NRP is preferred. Per diem shifts include evenings with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• RN license for the state where care is provided.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required.
• NRP neonatal resuscitation provider preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in L&D or mom/baby in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, deliver and evaluate nursing care in an acute setting.
• Provide patient/family education and support transitions of care.
• Maintain collaboration with patients, families, physicians and healthcare team.
