Job summary

Union Health in Terre Haute, IN seeks a Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Labor & Delivery unit on a part-time evening shift (7p–7a). The team supports 24/7 obstetric care with CRNAs available. Compensation details are discussed during the interview process.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited surgical technology program, hold CST and BLS, and are eligible to sit for CST if not currently certified. Union Health emphasizes teamwork and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Active CST certification.
• Active BLS certification.
• Eligible to sit for CST certification; new graduates have 6 months to complete.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for patient care within scope of experience and practice.
• Prepares OR for procedures and assists with positioning and draping.
• Assists surgeon and RN with instruments, sponges, and aseptic technique.
• Checks instruments and equipment for defects before and after procedures.
• Documents patient data and transcribes orders as directed by the RN.
