Job summary

Maker's Pride, LLC in Kentwood, MI is seeking a skilled 2nd shift supervisor to manage daily production staffing from 3:30pm to 12:00am. You will create and adjust schedules, track attendance, and ensure labor guidelines are followed in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities include payroll-related tasks, coordinating with temp agencies, and training new staff while maintaining strong communication with leadership. A competitive benefits package is provided.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily shift schedules using Master Schedule for all employees.
• Adjust schedules to meet business needs while applying labor guidelines.
• Track attendance and prepare daily staffing reports for leadership.
• Review and adjust timecards for accuracy and vacations.
• Submit daily attendance to temporary agencies and check in new temps and visitors.
• Ensure GMP compliance before shifts start and support interplant communication.
• Oversee the plant de-crewing process and union guidelines adherence.
• Distribute paychecks on payday and assist in training new staff.

Job Duties

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Creates and manages daily schedules for all lines using Master Schedule for all company and temporary employees based on skill set, availability and training.
• Make changes to the schedule as business demands and ensure standard labor guidelines are implemented, reducing labor if necessary.
• Attendance Tracking
• Prepares and distributes daily staffing reports to leadership.
• Review timecards daily and make necessary adjustments as applicable, such as checking hours, line codes, breaks and line sheets for accuracy, reviewing call-ins and entering vacation/personal time.
• Submit daily attendance to temporary agencies.
• Check in all new temporary workers and review expectations.
• Check in all visitors to the facilities.
• Ensure all employees are GMP compliant to begin working their shift.
• Support with interplant communication for shift needs.
• Manage plant de-crewing process.
• Ensure union members work within union guidelines and company uses union guidelines as required for assignments, shifts and seniority.
• Distribute paychecks on payday.
• Assist in identifying trainers for all newly placed temporary staff and HFS staff.
• Other duties as identified or assigned.
