Job summary

Dignity Health in Grass Valley, CA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery to provide holistic, perinatal care from admission to discharge. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while leading and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safety and patient-centered outcomes.

We offer a $5,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible hires. The role requires CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NRP within 90 days of hire, with preferred experience in circulating,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery with accurate interpretation of fetal monitor strips.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) and ACLS/NRP certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data based on diagnosis, age, and developmental stage and analyze it.
• Plan and prioritize individualized care based on assessment and nursing diagnoses, including discharge planning.
• Ensure patient/family participation in the plan of care and address age-specific and cultural needs.
• Implement standards based on assessment and nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize care within the allotted time frames.
• Coordinate discharge steps or referrals to address timely and appropriate discharge needs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will help individuals and families in the Family Birth Center to receive holistic, effective, and appropriate care so they can experience safe and confidential care from admission to discharge.

Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on the needs of perinatal patients and their families. You will be expected to utilize your clinical and technical skills, document accurately, collaborate with the healthcare team, and provide leadership in patient care while maintaining a safe environment and upholding patient safety standards.

• Collects patient data based on diagnosis, age and/or developmental age. Analyzes data collected.
• Plans and prioritizes individualized care based on the assessment, utilizing nursing diagnosis, including teaching and discharge needs of the patient and family, and sets outcome goals in coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensures that the patient/family participates in the plan of care as able, and that plan of care addresses age-specific and cultural needs.
• Implements appropriate standards based on assessment.
• Prioritizes and organizes care within the allotted time frames.
• Coordinates discharge steps or ensures appropriate referral to address timely, appropriate discharge needs.

We are offering a $5,000 Sign On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery with accurate interpretation of fetal monitor strips
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association
• ACLS from the American Heart Association, within 90 Days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days of hire

We prefer candidates who also have experience with circulating, post-partum and nurse
