Job summary

Mercy Hospital of Folsom is seeking a Registered Nurse with Labor & Delivery experience. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an active CA RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and NRP within 6 months. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR approved by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs total body and system assessment each shift per unit standards.
• Plans, implements, evaluates and educates as part of patient care.

• Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
• Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
• Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
• Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
• Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.

Job Requirements

• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience. (Exception: When the unit is staffed with enough experienced nurses to support a trainee or graduate nurse, applicants without requisite experience may be considered.)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, within 6 - months
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months

Preferred

• C/Section/PACU experience

Pay Range

$72.64 - $88.21 /hour
