Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Tracy, CA. The RN will apply the nursing process, monitor vitals, support birthing mothers, and educate families while coordinating care with the healthcare team.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, CPR certification, and adherence to clinical standards. Travel contracts typically include weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• One year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last three years preferred.
• RNC-OB preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB screening (PPD or chest x-ray) if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Location: Tracy, CA

The Labor and Delivery Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D Setting. The Labor and Delivery Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments inan effective and efficient manner with supervision.

The Labor and Delivery Nurse works with Mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother’s vitalsigns, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possiblecomplications. The Labor and Delivery Nurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs of Mothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.

Minimum Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license within the state ofpractice


• One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience within the last three years preferred


• RNC-OB Preferred


• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice


• Current CPR if applicable


• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable


• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)


• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements


• Must be at least 18 years of age
