Job summary

CareRev is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a Bristol, CT assignment. Local candidates only; shift-based pay rates apply.

Requires a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum within the last year, active RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications, plus EFM training.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications and completion of basic and/or intermediate electronic fetal monitoring courses.
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience with Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum within the last year.
• Strong ability to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate the delivery of skilled patient care, with critical thinking and adherence to established processes.
• Experience circulating C-sections and providing post-anesthesia care following delivery.
• Competency with infant assessment, stabilization, and EFM interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Circulate C-sections and provide post-anesthesia care following a delivery.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate the delivery of skilled patient care.
• Identify alterations in the labor process and intervene when necessary.
• Monitor infant status and perform infant stabilization as required.
• Operate and interpret electronic fetal monitoring and maintain patient safety.

Pay Rate: $70-77/hr

Job Type: Pay rates and facility needs may vary.

Clinicians must be local (live within this city or surrounding areas) to qualify for this shift.

Minimum of 1 year full-time experience with Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (all specialty areas) nursing within the last year required.

Requirements

• Strong assessment skills surrounding pregnancy and labor including high risk cases. Must be able to identify alterations in the normal labor process and intervene when necessary.
• Experience circulating c-sections and providing post-anesthesia care following a c-section or vaginal delivery.
• Must show competency with infant assessment, stabilization, and electronic fetal heart monitoring and interpretation.
