Job summary

TriStar Health in Middle Tennessee seeks a Labor and Delivery Float Pool Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns across multiple units. You will assess laboring patients, monitor progress, and respond to changes in condition using state-of-the-art technology and EHR systems.

You will collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure safe deliveries, manage complications, and provide family-centered education during birth

Qualifications

• Strong clinical nursing assessment and monitoring skills.
• Experience in labor and delivery or perinatal care preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple units and shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess laboring patients and monitor fetal well-being and maternal status.
• Assist with deliveries and provide intra-partum support as needed.
• Manage obstetric emergencies and respond to deviations in labor progress.
• Support families through birth, postpartum transition, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Utilize EHR systems and other technology to document care and coordinate with care teams.
