Job summary

Stemilt Growers in Washington state seeks a detail-oriented Label/PLU Operator to support line work as needed. The role includes sorting fruit by grade, color and size, bagging, weighing and boxing fruit, and updating production schedules.

You will handle PLU rolls, monitor line readiness, and maintain cleanliness of machines. The team relies on solid computer skills, clear communication, and the ability to multi-task and stay late when production requires.

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have knowledge of basic Math skills.
• Must be able to do highly repetitive inspection work.
• Must be detail oriented and pay attention to detail along with being able to multi-task.
• Must be flexible with working hours and have a desire to stay and work late.
• Must be able to take direction and work independently.
• Must be able to work on your feet 8 plus hours.
• Experience with reading pack schedules.
• Must have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Must also be able to understand running orders, fruit sizes, grades and variety.
• Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with both A and B Line to make sure they are up to date on production needs.
• Be up to date on all new changes that have been made to pack schedules.
• In charge of putting supplies away.
• Dusting and general cleaning of the machine is required.
• Analyze data for best production practices.
• Review previous day’s production activities.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Number of openings: 1 Fulltime, Year-Round

Location: A Line – Euclid Plant

Working Shift: Night Shift

Hours & Work Days: 3:45 pm – 12:30 am, Monday – Friday; May vary depending on production.

This position will require a pre-employment drug test.
