Job summary

Qualifications

BS degree in mechanical discipline with coursework in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics and machine design.
Hands-on experience using hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process diagrams.

Responsibilities

Test Pelletron equipment using customer materials and internal products.
Physically evaluate samples for particle size, debris, bulk density, and angle of repose per standards.
Set up equipment, determine operating conditions, run tests, and evaluate results for capacity and cleaning performance.
Design, set up, test, and evaluate custom equipment and test apparatus for R&D and new product development.
Document testing with accurate technical reports.
Upgrade and maintain lab equipment; keep it in ready state.
Support R&D efforts on new products and quality investigations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
