Reports to Lab Supervisor

18 month Term

What you will do :

• Provide analytical support for daily plant statistical analysis, instrument calibration of lab, loading and plant analyzers (sizing & grade), train shipping requirements, metallurgical and mill troubleshooting projects
• Provide coverage for shift employees to train new lab employees, and to cover vacation and approved leaves.

What you will bring:

• Graduate from Provincial Technical School course in Chemical Engineering Technology, from University in Chemistry or Biochemistry or an equivalent course of study
• Work experience in a lab environment would be an asset
• Positive Safety behavior and safety leadership
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
• Ability to make and implement decisions under all conditions
• Stable work record with 3 to 5 years’ experience, preferably in an industrial environment is an asset
