Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a laboratory professional to coordinate and manage the in-house lab operations. You will perform specimen testing and ensure quality assurance and proper documentation of QC/validation activities.

The role includes overseeing supply/inventory, coordinating IT/EHR interfaces, and working with OR staff to optimize workflow. ASCP/MT/MLT credentials are preferred and immunization requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Associates in Applied Science with MLT or Bachelor's in CLS or a biological science with MLT or MT.
• MLT or MT (ASCP) preferred.
• Immunization requirements as listed (Hepatitis B, influenza annually, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing).

Responsibilities

• Specimen testing and analysis according to lab policies.
• Quality assurance, QC/validation documentation, and proficiency testing records.
• Oversees lab supply/inventory tracking and ensures timely ordering.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors to set up and troubleshoot EHR lab interfaces.
• Collaborate with OR staff and other departments to optimize specimen workflow.
