Job summary

Intertek in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Sample Processing Clerk / Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations, receive and log samples, and maintain records in LIMS. You will prepare documentation and assist with laboratory workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of lab experience.
• Strong computer skills and quick learner for laboratory software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience entering and maintaining data in electronic systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitask environment.
• Ability to plan, organize and complete multiple projects within standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Sample and quality control preparation for analysis.
• Receive and log environmental samples into LIMS.
• Maintain accurate electronic records for traceability and quality.
• Prepare, review and issue laboratory reports.
• Enter, review and verify data in databases and MS Office.
• Greet clients and assist with sample submissions at the lab.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone or email.
• Assist with inventory management and lab supplies ordering.
• Support continuous improvement by updating procedures and work instructions.
