Job summary

ITW is seeking a Lab Technician to join the Engineering team at Miller Electric in the Commercial Solutions Division. You will contribute to fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of cutting-edge welding systems, translating ideas into reliable hardware through hands-on experimentation.

You will work with Electrical, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing engineers, performing qualification tests and documenting results in Word/Excel while supporting certification activities and maintaining

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication; ability to write accurate documentation.
Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel (graphs).
Commitment to safety working with electricity, hand/power tools, pneumatics, and electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a multidisciplinary team to develop products from prototype to production.
Support NRTL certification reports (CSA, CE, CCC, ETL, NOM) and related documentation.
Qualify mechanical and electrical parts to sustain product lifecycles and supplier cost reductions.
Troubleshoot production test equipment; develop manufacturing test docs; analyze issues and implement corrective actions.
Travel up to 5% and perform bending, sitting, squatting, climbing, and standing as required.
