Job summary

ZXP Technologies in Highlands, TX is seeking a Lab Technician to perform routine laboratory testing and quality checks on raw materials, in-process blends, and finished oil products to ensure quality. This role collaborates with Production and Quality teams to support accurate testing and safe manufacturing operations.

The position requires basic math, ability to follow procedures, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Experience in a laboratory, quality-control, or manufacturing setting.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Strong data-entry and record-keeping skills.
Detail-oriented with accurate data documentation.
Ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.
Basic math skills for calculations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Collect and test samples of raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products.
Perform routine lab tests per procedures and specifications.
Record results and maintain lab records.
Compare results to specifications and flag out-of-spec results.
Communicate test results and quality concerns to Production and Quality personnel.
Assist with calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples and laboratory materials.
Maintain clean and organized laboratory workspace.
Support quality-control activities and other laboratory projects as needed.
Work with production personnel to ensure products are tested and released according to established procedures.
