Job summary

PB Leiner in Davenport, IA seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform testing of gelatin-related products and by-products in Chemistry and Microbiology labs. The role rotates through five stations weekly and supports project work as needed.

The candidate will aseptically prepare samples, perform routine and non-standard tests, and maintain lab equipment. Strong time management and basic math/computer skills are essential.

• Basic lab techniques: weighing, aseptic transfer, following SOPs, reporting results

Responsibilities

• Aseptically prepare samples for testing and test preparation
• Perform routine tests as assigned and follow test methods
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; clean and maintain lab areas
• Record data accurately in worksheets and databases
• Peer review paperwork and assist other lab technicians
• Support external lab testing when required
• Participate in project work and onboarding of new staff
