Job summary

Nitta Gelatin is seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician for our Schiller Park, IL location. The role focuses on day-to-day lab operations, sample handling, and test result monitoring under the QA Manager's supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months in quality or lab settings preferred, and basic computer skills in Word/Excel. Food production background is a plus in this food-focused company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing of gelatins and collagens including taste and odor grading.
• Take sterile samples of incoming, work in process, and finished products.
• Monitor daily test results and notify QA Manager as necessary to ensure customer specification compliance.
• Maintain a document database for lab test data.
• Maintain stock of all laboratory test materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory working environment.
