This position is based in NYS with a pay range of $27.00-$28.85. The work shift is from 4:45 am to 5:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform testing on finished products and samples, including physical, biological, chemical, and organoleptic tests, according to specifications.
2. Maintain state certification for Beta-Lactam antibiotic testing.
3. Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain accurate temperature and record keeping.
4. Record vitamin usage and complete tank inventory recordings.
5. Verify and manage non-conforming products, including sampling, tagging, and disposition.
6. Ensure sanitation of plant equipment through inspections and ATP swabbing.
7. Manage laboratory supplies and ensure documentation is current and accurate.
8. Train and supervise quality technicians to meet regulatory standards.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
10. Perform other duties as directed by QA supervision or management.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Bachelor’s in Science preferred; Associates or 75+ credit hours towards a Bachelor’s required.
2. At least one year in current position or manager’s approval.
3. Satisfactory job performance and no active corrective actions.
4. Cannot bid on another position within 12 months of the current bid.

Work Schedule

• Afternoon and overnight shifts available, with scheduling flexibility upon request.
• Generally 40 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Exposure to varying weather conditions, food ingredients, and chemicals.
• Ability to move throughout the facility, wear PPE, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity and physical mobility required.
