RFCUNY seeks a Technical staff member to support a mouse genetics and neuroscience research lab. The role focuses on molecular biology, tissue analysis, and behavioral assays in a collaborative team. You will work with transgenic mice, perform basic molecular procedures, and maintain meticulous records.

The position requires a BA/BS in biological sciences, strong communication, and careful attention to detail. Prior neuroscience exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences with basic lab technique experience.
• Background in neuroscience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with transgenic mouse lines and perform mouse surgical procedures.
• Conduct basic molecular biology experiments (e.g., PCR, cloning).
• Prepare tissue for analysis and perform microscopy.
• Prepare complex chemical solutions and media for experiments.
• Record results according to standard laboratory practices.
