Polymer Lab Technician - Medina - Shift: M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Join Ravago Manufacturing Americas as a Polymer Lab Technician - Medina on a full-time, M-F shift.

Objective / Purpose

Performs laboratory tests to determine the characteristics or composition of materials for quality control, resale, or product development.

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

• Set up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment such as melt indexers, densimeters, and mold machines.
• Test inbound and packaged plastic materials for qualities like density, Izod impact, and melting point.
• Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Record test results accurately on standardized forms.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization.
• Inspect for and identify contaminations.
• Reconcile laboratory inventory.
• Assist in product development and mold testing as needed.
• Maintain monthly testing records for accounting purposes.
• Adhere to all safety standards and ISO documentation requirements.
• Support production and other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and presenting information clearly.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret data and graphs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements / Demands

The role requires physical activities such as repetitive motions, grasping, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), reaching, bending, and squatting. Work environment includes inside conditions with potential exposure to chemicals and noise. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.

Work Environment
