Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, Student Health Services is seeking a Laboratory Technician 1, Medical Assistant to support fast-paced, patient-centered care. You will enter chief complaints and vital signs into the EHR and perform CLIA-waived tests such as COVID, pregnancy, urinalysis, strep, and mono.

You will assist with procedures, administer medications, provide immunizations, and communicate results with clear follow-up guidance while adhering to safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and two years of laboratory experience or an equivalent education/experience combination.
• State of Nevada Office Laboratory Certification (or ability to obtain) is required.
• Background check and pre-employment screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Accurately entering chief complaints and vital signs in the EHR.
• Perform in-house CLIA-waived tests (COVID, pregnancy, urinalysis, strep, mono).
• Assist with medical procedures and administer medications as ordered.
• Provide immunizations and communicate results with clear follow-up instructions.
