Job summary

RADISE International, LC seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform materials testing across Asphalt, Soils, and Concrete for FDOT-compliant projects. Work closely with field inspectors and engineers to ensure quality and compliance. This hands-on role offers a clear path to Senior Laboratory Technician and Field Inspector positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 0–3 years of experience in laboratory work
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Strong attention to detail with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of FDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM testing standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform standardized laboratory and field tests on soils, and concrete materials in accordance with FDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM standards.
• Accurately document test results.
• Maintain, calibrate, and inspect laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Enter test data into laboratory Information management software.
• Identify and report any deviations, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental compliance requirements.
• This position offers a clear pathway to grow into Senior Laboratory Technician and Field Inspector roles including Asphalt Plant Inspector role. High-performing Laboratory Technicians will have an opportunity for advancement into variety of jobs.
