Job summary

WSB is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician in Oklahoma to join our engineering team. The role involves preparing soil samples, performing laboratory tests to standards, and maintaining a clean lab environment. You will lift up to 70 lbs and collaborate with supervisors on test assignments.

A background check and drug screening are required, along with a valid driver’s license and basic report-writing skills. WSB offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to prepare legible reports and documentation.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil samples for testing according to applicable test procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests to specs and standards (Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, proctors, sulfates, HMAC, concrete compressive strength).
• Maintain a clean work area and keep lab tools organized for tests.
• Lift and carry materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Consult with supervisor on test assignments or related issues.
• Perform administrative duties such as timesheets and expense reports.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare soil samples for testing according to applicable test procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests according to specs and standards such as but not limited toAtterberg limits, gradation analyses, proctors, sulfates, HMAC testing, concrete compressive strength testing.
• Maintain a clean work environment and keep lab tools and equipment organized and ready for tests.
• Requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Consult with supervisor on test assignments or other related issues.
