Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Lab Assistant to join its growing team in California. You will log samples into the LIMS, split samples, and provide proactive customer service while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced lab setting.

This role supports ISO and QC requirements, handles inventory and purchases, and assists with media prep and general lab housekeeping. The position requires high school diploma, good aseptic technique, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and cross-contamination prevention.
• Basic lab techniques required.
• Strong conceptual basis in a laboratory setting with ability to perform basic lab tasks.

Responsibilities

• Log customer samples into the LIMS with accuracy.
• Split samples between department.
• Provide proactive customer service via phone, email, or video chat.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and reliability of work.
• Label and store samples at correct temperatures.
• Maintain the sample receiving/splitting room.
• Assist with ISO and QC requirements.
• Help with purchasing and inventory.
• Assist in media prep and labware cleaning.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
