Job summary

Modine is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Instrumentation & Thermal Systems) to perform technical lab work involving instrumentation and thermal testing. You will calibrate and operate chillers and refrigeration systems, collect test data with DAQ, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires handling electrical systems across low, medium, and high voltage environments. Work alongside engineers and technicians in a hands‑on setting, with emphasis on accurate data

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/associate degree preferred.
• Experience in a lab or test environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with refrigeration, HVAC, or thermal testing labs is desirable.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and sensors such as thermocouples and flow meters.
• Ability to work with DAQ systems and to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and testing equipment.
• Work with sensors, thermocouples, flow meters, and other measurement tools.
• Operate and monitor chiller and refrigeration systems.
• Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with specs.
• Use DAQ to collect, record, and interpret test data.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols; use PPE when required.
• Collaborate with engineers on experimental projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory equipment.
