Job summary

Amphenol APC in Nashua, NH seeks a Failure Analysis technician to support the QA Lab with analysis, testing and documentation. You will prepare and evaluate micro sections, assist in training lab technicians, and coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

The role requires hands-on microscope work, the ability to multitask, and safe handling of chemicals. Prior IPC-600 certification is preferred; the position may include overtime and cross-training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two years of quality-related manufacturing experience
• PCB’s, Flex/Rigid preferred
• Ability to use a Microscope
• Safe work habits and working near chemicals
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely
• IPC-600 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Support QA Lab function; communicate with FQC, Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Front-end
• Interface with customer source inspectors and other personnel
• Prepare/evaluate in-process and final micro sections per industry and customer specs
• Evaluate sectional defects for requirements to spec
• Assist in training lab technicians and maintaining lab documentation
• Maintain lab procedures and store lab data
• Order supplies and review new equipment for the Lab
• Send jobs to outside lab for approval
• Overtime possible for alternate shifts/weekends
• May cross-train in other departments
• Perform other duties as requested
