Job summary

Zoetis is hiring a clinical laboratory technician to prepare specimens, set up tests, and interpret results under SOPs. You will operate automated analyzers, microscopes and related equipment, perform maintenance, and help maintain quality control across departments in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a clinical lab and familiarity with hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, endocrinology, parasitology or cytology, plus strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting and basic testing experience.
• Proficient knowledge in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, endocrinology, parasitology or cytology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare biological specimens for testing across departments.
• Operate high-throughput analyzers, microscopes and diagnostic equipment.
• Set up tests, review results and release findings per SOPs.
• Perform routine and non routine maintenance on analyzers.
• Troubleshoot one major department analyzer.
• Review daily QC reports and weekly Levey-Jennings charts.
• Handle and store biological specimens per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory workspace.
• Dispose of medical and biohazardous waste per guidelines.
• Complete and log maintenance, environmental and cleaning logs.
• Prepare specimens for shipment to offsite facilities per DOT rules.
• Log supplies and organize designated storage locations.
• Operate and maintain secondary lab equipment (centrifuges, pipettes, blocks, stainers).
• Follow Zoetis Reference Laboratories SOPs and training materials.
