Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast in Edison, NJ is seeking a Lab Technician I for a Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm shift. This entry-level position offers full benefits and a starting hourly rate of $17.50–$18.00.

You will assist with sample prep, operate lab equipment, maintain logs, and support QA procedures while learning the Laboratory Information Management System and Mercury analysis processes. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork to support environmental testing projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Chemistry coursework in high school preferred.
• Basic laboratory experience preferred.
• Production-oriented work helpful for meeting deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; work environment involves coolers.
• Professional proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Retrieve samples from control for analysis.
• Perform sample preparation and related tasks.
• Prepare reagents, bottles, and concentrations as needed.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and instruments.
• Record results and manage sample tracking and paperwork.
• Assist other lab areas and keep the workspace clean.
