Job summary

HuFriedyGroup is seeking a Culture Laboratory Technician I to perform assigned laboratory procedures including data entry and processing of biological indicator spore strip tests in Rush, NY. This is a full-time permanent role with hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires 1+ years in a lab setting; aseptic techniques and basic microscopy are preferred. The team offers healthcare, tuition assistance, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) match, and merit/incentive plans.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ related experience and/or training in a laboratory operation or technical/scientific field is preferred.
• Some knowledge of aseptic laboratory techniques and microscope familiarity is preferred.
• Requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, sense of urgency, good work ethic, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic tests and Gram stains to verify results.
• Maintain accurate customer records and data entry.
• Follow lab procedures for testing samples and prepare lab supplies.
• Sort and label envelopes, manage spore strips, and archive results.
• Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and test reporting standards.
