Job description

Job Description

The Environmental Monitoring (EM) Core Technician will be responsible for conducting EM tasks in support of production and aseptic processing of clinical-grade products. The core tech will also be responsible for maintaining, stocking, and setting up the clean room environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the Environmental Monitoring process as part of GMP production of viral therapies.
  2. Perform cell culture and product purification using aseptic techniques when required.
  3. Coordinate EM equipment needs with the QC EM team for manufacturing processes.
  4. Draft, complete, and revise manufacturing documents including Batch Records and EM forms.
  5. Prepare buffers and components, including operation of steam autoclaves.
  6. Operate manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment in support of routine clinical production.
  7. Operate environmental monitoring equipment such as Solairs, Apex Z50, and active counters.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences preferred.
  2. Basic lab experience with a bachelor's degree or intermediate lab experience within a cGMP clinical production environment, or a high school diploma.
  3. Lab experience preferred.
  4. 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Note
  • Must be available to train on the first shift - 5 days/week for the first 4-6 weeks.
  • Shift: Day shift - 7 am to 7:30 pm. 12-hour rotating shifts: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off.
