Job summary

STgenetics is seeking a Lab Technician committed to a long‑term career in a high‑quality laboratory. This role offers hands‑on, structured on‑the‑job training and a defined pathway to increased technical responsibility under the Lab Manager and experienced technicians.

Initial duties cover foundational skills such as flow cytometry and sperm physiology, with progression to independently operate multiple sorters, support lab operations at a higher level, and contribute to mentoring newer team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related laboratory experience or equivalent education.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and communicate professionally.
• Operate and maintain sorters and lab computers for data entry.
• Participate in daily production of sexed semen with emphasis on sterility and quality.
• Perform startup, calibration, sort setup and shutdown of sorters.
• Maintain sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
• Use software applications to assemble, manipulate data and reports.
• Follow universal safety precautions to protect staff.
• Handle hazardous chemicals and radiological materials safely.
• Monitor inventory and storage of laboratory materials.
• Keep knowledge of vendors and suppliers.
