Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Lab Technician in Sinclair, WY to conduct physical and chemical testing on refinery process streams and QC samples. The role emphasizes data entry accuracy, LIMS proficiency, and compliance with ASTM standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and chemistry-related education, with preference for a chemistry degree and industrial lab experience. Shift flexibility and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software applications.
• Good mechanical ability and understanding of laboratory testing instruments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and reading/writing skills.
• Read and follow ASTM methods and other laboratory analysis procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely data entry of lab results.
• Read and understand analysis procedures and safety standards in English.
• Assist in or perform repeatable analyses as directed by Laboratory Manager or Chemists.
• Participate in proficiency testing and adhere to good laboratory practices.
• Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
• Operate and maintain lab instrumentation with proper safety.
• Attend safety and lab training sessions and work alone when required.
• Possess lab technique competency and proper use of glassware.
• Work rotating shifts with flexible schedules.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clear communication; follow through on commitments.
