Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS SOPs using department instruments.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Input and maintain technical information supporting lab operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Our Clovis, CA laboratory is looking for aLab Technician to join theirteam! The Lab Technician will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance to SGS’s analytical SOPs. The Lab Technician works independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. The Lab Technician always follows safe laboratory practices and maintains a safe working environment.Job Functions

• After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
• May assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or prior experience working with one’s hands (Required)
• Associates Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline and 1-2 years of years’ relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)
• Advanced English language skills (Required)
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)
• Basic computer skills (Required)
• Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs on a frequent basis (Required)

This position pays$20 - $22 per hourand is eligible for overtime.

Compensation

The expected hourly range for this position is $20 - $22. This range represents the minimum and maximum hourly rate we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
