Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant to support routine lab tasks and equipment upkeep. The role involves preparing samples, maintaining inventories, and ensuring compliant documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and prior lab exposure, with strong organizational and communication skills, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimally required lab-related experience or coursework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout the lab, including cleaning, ordering, discarding of solutions, organizing supplies, and retrieving and returning samples from storage.
• Learn to perform monthly maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Prepare samples for analysis and monitor instrumentation with minimal supervision; instruments will be cleaned and stored after use.
• Assist with inventory process within the group.
• Perform a variety of organizational tasks to aid in daily lab functionality.
• Perform laboratory cleaning responsibilities of equipment and controlled rooms.
• Work efficiently, document work clearly, and perform responsibilities accurately.
• Participate in special projects as directed.

Job Description

Employee Responsibilities

• Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout the lab, including cleaning, ordering, discarding of solutions, organizing supplies, and retrieving and returning samples from sample storage
• Learn to perform monthly maintenance on both laboratory equipment
• Prepare samples for analysis and monitor some instrumentation with minimum supervision including. Instrumentation will also be cleaned and stored appropriately after use
• Assist with Inventory process within the group
• Perform a variety of organizational tasks to aide in the everyday functionality of the laboratory
• Perform laboratory cleaning responsibilities of equipment and controlled rooms
• Work efficiently, document work clearly, and perform responsibilities accurately
• Special projects as necessary/as directed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work in the US Indefinitely without sponsorship

The Ideal Candidate would possess

• Previous laboratory experience
• Metals testing and clean lab experience
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-5pm OR Second Shift M-F 3-11pm. No relocation assistance will be given. 25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
