Job summary

Experis Technology Group in Austin, TX seeks a Lab Technician - Electrical/Mechanical to join the Hardware Validation & Engineering Lab. You will assist platform validation, perform PCB and hardware assembly, and support power and performance testing in a 100% onsite environment.

The role requires a degree in Electronics or Engineering, hands-on tool experience, and the ability to work independently with safety. Contract position with potential to convert to full-time.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PCBs, electronic components and assemblies.
• Background in a lab, R&D, manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Hands-on experience using common hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly on hardware systems, PCBs, and server rack equipment.
• Set up and execute power, performance, and validation testing activities.
• Support troubleshooting and debugging of pre-production CPU/GPU platforms.
• Maintain and service liquid-cooling infrastructure and CDUs.
• Keep the lab organized, safe, and operational while addressing lab needs.

Our client, a leading semiconductor and advanced computing technology organization, is seeking a Lab Technician - Electrical/Mechanical to join their team. As a Lab Technician - Electrical/Mechanical, you will be part of the Hardware Validation & Engineering Lab supporting Platform Validation and Systems Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Austin, TX (100% Onsite)

Pay Range:

$28/hr on W2

Contract with potential to convert FTE

What's the Job?

• Perform electrical and mechanical assembly on hardware systems, PCBs, and server rack equipment.
