InTEC of San Antonio is seeking a dependable Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician to join our growing team. This position performs laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on soils, concrete, aggregates, and asphalt.
• Prepare and label samples for testing.
• Maintain accurate test data and documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and company testing procedures.
• Communicate results to project managers and engineers.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on:
• Soils (classification, moisture content, Proctor, Atterberg limits, etc.)
• Concrete (compressive strength testing)
• Aggregates (sieve analysis)
• Asphalt (density and other standard tests)
• Prepare and label samples for testing
• Maintain accurate test data and documentation
• Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and company testing procedures
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
• Communicate results to project managers and engineers

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic math and computer skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience in construction materials testing
• ACI, ICC, or other industry certifications
• Previous laboratory or construction experience
