Job summary

AR Systems Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician for compression engineering in East Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on setting up and running compressor test stands and related mechanical/electrical work in an R&D lab.

The ideal candidate will have an AS/BS in mechanical, electrical, or electronics and 2+ years in HVAC/refrigeration, along with hands-on skills in wiring, controls, and lab instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Requires AS/BS in mechanical, electrical or electronics with 2+ years HVAC/refrigeration experience.
• Experience with labview preferred and EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial wiring, hydronic systems, AC motors and controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain compressor performance and test stands from 1 to 1500 tons in an R&D lab.
• Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical work.
• Braze large piping and use overhead cranes and rigging for test setups.

• experience with labview prefered and universal epa section 608 certification prefered
• knowledge of industrial wiring, hydronic , ac motors and controls
• experience with single / three phase electrical power systems, vfds / plcs / pid controls / lab instrumentation and electrical test equipment
• Set up, operate and maintaine compressor performance and test stands ranging 1 to 1500 tons in an R&D laboratory
• Performed handson mechanical and electrical work
• ability to braze large piping and use overhead cranes and rigging equipment for test setups
• ability to operate pivs including forklifts
