Evonik is seeking a laboratory-focused professional to independently perform complex tests, prepare samples, and operate analytical equipment. You will document results and interpret findings to guide product development and technical service for IPA Applied Technology.

The role requires a BS or higher in chemistry or related field, with experience in polyurethane/plastic compounds preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential in a multifaceted, global environment.

Qualificações

• BS or higher degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience formulating and market introduction of polyurethane or plastic compounds is preferred.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with customers.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong team player; able to work within multifunctional, multiregional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct experimental tests to support application testing, product development, and technical service for IPA Applied Technology with minimal supervision.
• Operate instruments and equipment used in the laboratory.
• Interpret data, identify trends, provide technical summaries, and recommend solutions.
• Assist in establishing new and optimize existing test methods.
• Manage calibration, maintenance, and repair tasks for laboratory instrumentation.
• Maintain documentation and record-keeping in Smart Lab Notebook system.
• Manage chemical inventory according to site policy.
• Ensure compliance with Evonik safety procedures and guidelines.
• Lead lab Design Hazard Review processes and conduct safety audits.
